AI Memory Vault ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") is a private digital journal designed with a privacy-first, on-device architecture. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, how it is processed, and the rights you have over your data.
All content you create in AI Memory Vault is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This includes:
Memories you mark as "protected" are encrypted on your device using AES-256-GCM encryption, with keys stored in the iOS Keychain and protected by Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode.
If you enable iCloud Sync in Settings, your memories are synchronized through Apple's CloudKit service to your own private iCloud container. This data is stored under your Apple ID and is never accessible to us. You can disable sync at any time from Settings.
To improve stability and understand which features are useful, the App uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (provided by Google). These services collect limited, aggregated technical information such as:
We never send the content of your memories, photos, voice memos, or any personally identifiable information to analytics services. You can opt out of analytics at any time in Settings → Privacy.
Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple via StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment details. Apple provides us only with anonymous subscription status (active / expired).
AI Memory Vault uses Apple's Foundation Models framework to generate weekly insights, reflections, and summaries. All AI processing happens entirely on your device. Your journal content is never transmitted to Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or any third-party AI provider.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data leaves your device only in these limited cases:
Your data remains on your device until you delete it. You can delete any memory individually, or remove all data by uninstalling the App. If iCloud Sync is enabled, deletions propagate across your devices.
You can also export your data in a portable format from Settings → Export.
AI Memory Vault is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

We use industry-standard security practices, including AES-256-GCM encryption for protected memories, Keychain-backed key storage, and biometric authentication. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable precautions to protect your data.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the App or via the App Store listing. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
